One of the main objectives of the Chair is to train engineers with the ability to design circuits and integrated systems based on RISC-V. The teaching offer will be implemented gradually from the 24/25 academic year. The training skills acquired by the students will be those defined by AMETIC in its training strategy proposal for the PERTE of microelectronics and semiconductors:
- C1: Ability to design and program integrated systems on chip (SoC).
- C2: Ability to design, debug and program complex multiprocessor embedded systems.
- C3: Ability to generate middleware and integrated systems software adapted to your architecture.
- C4: Ability to design wired, wireless and optical communications systems.
- C5: Ability to design, program and validate application-specific integrated circuits and systems.
- C6: Ability to verify and test integrated circuits using different technologies and tools.
- C7: Ability to design high frequency monolithic integrated circuits (MMIC).
- C8: Ability to design sensors, transducers and interface and conditioning circuits with MEMs and other technologies suitable for hybridization with CMOS.
- C9: Ability to design integrated or hybrid and heterogeneous microsystems integrating circuits of different substrates.
- C10: Ability to include methodological aspects and aspects of assembly and encapsulation of electronic and photonic systems, both monolithic and heterogeneous, including vertical integration.
