From May 12th to 15th, members of the Cantabria Chip Chair (C3), Borja Pérez Pavon, Eugenio Villar, and Raúl Gómez, had the opportunity to participate in the RISC-V Summit Europe 2025. Borja Pérez, as Chair of the Program Committee. This time, the event took place in Paris and once again served as the meeting point for the European and international RISC-V community. The Summit consolidates as an essential event to learn firsthand about the latest advances in the open-source microprocessor and its applications. From the Cantabria Chip Chair, we congratulate Borja Pérez, from C3, and Teresa Cervero of the BSC, Chair of the Steering Committee, for the excellent organization as leaders of the event. Eugenio Villar presented a demonstration of Spike-RTL, the hardware/software co-simulation tool developed within the Misiones project, SoÑamos. The tool allows you to take advantage of Spike’s simulation speed to accelerate SW simulation in the virtual model while maintaining the accuracy of the simulation of the rest of the HW architecture, which allows you to achieve near-clock-cycle accuracy.
